a question for you all who have the gizmo to turn off the auto stop start by default. If you change drive modes to sport, m&s, rock crawl, Baja or mall/starbucks, does the auto stop start stay off, or does it turn on when you swap drive modes on the truck?
The Autostop Eliminator
Push the button to disable and will remain disabled in all modes.
Even after a restart.
Push the button again and its on again.

I also went with auto stop. It works in all modes and auto stop is available if I want it. I used forscan for a number of other mods.

I have the Autostop eliminator. It works great.

Forscan method is cheap but from what I read it shuts down the battery management system as a side effect, which I didn't want to do.

Trailer module unplug method screws up the trailer lights if you tow (which I do) so that was a no go either.

I may have to revisit doing this mod. I actually do use auto stop/start, less frequently of late. The main reason I’ve moved away from it is that once I did the stereo upgrades, the restart was killing the amp for several seconds and I was seeing voltage drop down to 9.5-10v. I’m not liking the solutions or workarounds for that huge drop and this may be the cleanest way to avoid the issue.

thanks for answers!
