I just brought my 2019 raptor 2 month ago. A made 6000 km mostly on highway. Maybe 1000 city driving. I changed the oil and filter. Here in Romania the Mobile1 oil is not so good, so i decided to use Castrol 5w 30 fully synthetic Titanium FST. I think is almost the best for this grade made by Castrol. The oil filter was little difficult to find, but finally i get it from the local market, i don't remember the name but Amazon give it as same Motocraft.
Now: in a morning when i start the engine, is a small noise like a metallic something, i thought something is not tight under, some metals are there.. The noise is not loud at all but is there for 1-2 minutes after starting the cold engine.
The second is the high oil consumption. I just checked and after 1500 km the level was under the half on the stick. I added 0.75 l to be exactly on the level.
The truth is i am driving little hard now sometimes just to play, but not that much to damage. Before the oil change the consumption was almost the same but after 6000 km with light and grandma style driving.
Since i am on this forum my brain get crazy reading so many problems of this cars. I am afraid of big problems because i have no warranty here.
You guys think is a camphaser? Or how you call? Or just wrong oil? Thanks

You have two things:
1. Oil consumption - if you are down that much, you must have one of the faulty valve covers. There is a TSB which calls for new covers so that oil is no longer consumed.
2. Your description of sound is most likely cam phasers.

I am not sure how it works in Romania for service, but you can try the ford hotline to see how to address. I am not sure if a Ford buyback works being outside north America.

How can i check the valve cover? Where the oil is going? Should see some oil likage? Or the oil is burning?
But both two thinks happened after the oil change. If any of those issues i need to fix myself. No chance for warranty. I will need that time a real help from someone who knows. Or to find a repair manual.
I start to be sad :(....

The valve cover is a known issue. See this TSB:

The cam phasers... that is a completely different story. If you are wanting to do this yourself, out of pocket, you are looking at around $4k USD, and a good 24hrs of labor tearing the front of the engine off. Or, you could make Ford buy it back (but that's a whole process), or you could sell it now and get something else.

If i sell this car i will loose more then 4k . I can't see any other car i like right now. Is f....d up situation! And mine was build before april for sure, ford pass shows me the warranty starting 16.04.2019, but now the car is outside us.
If i go ahead with the oil consumption?
With the cam phaser noise... i just let it sound until is loud?

You said "The noise is not loud at all but is there for 1-2 minutes after starting the cold engine"

Did you mean SECONDS?

If you mean SECONDS, then the "cam phaser issue" could be the reason for the noise. Did you look on youtube for the noise? There are several videos that demonstrate the "cam phaser noise". Please check them out and compare.

If you mean minutes, then that would not be the "cam phaser issue" as the cam phaser issue lasts for about 2 seconds.

there are minutes, until the engine idle is going lower. Not seconds. Now i see the light... maybe is not the cam phaser. I will study the you tube.

I would buy some motorcraft oil filters , the filter you may be using may not have a drainback valve. Keeps oil in upper part of engine when turned off. I would do that first . The castrol oil should be fine.

Wow! I never think about filter. I will check. But Amazon give the WIX filter like similar.
I decided to change the oil.
I talk with the Motul distributor and give me the Motul 8100 eco-lite 5w30 oil. But now the filter... will take time to get. It can be catastrophic the wrong filter?

I would at least start with known correct filter , and Motul Oil is very good oil. I'm not sure what is available in Romania but wix filters is also a very good brand in USA .I would check Wix website to make sure you used correct filter part number.
