@FordTechOne Do automakers employ people to work social media and lurk on forums today? I think they can surely learn a lot and more than just doing random 200 people surveys at an event.

I've seen them on Social Media from various brands; they all seem to share the same response of "please call 1-800...and open a case". As for forums, I haven't seen that in quite some time myself. I agree that there is a ton of great feedback on here, but it's also important to remember that most people on a forum like this are detail oriented enthusiasts. Great for gathering data on niche vehicles like the Raptor, but probably not the most accurate representation of the average pickup truck customer.

I've seen a few official Ford reps post on the Edge forums (Crystal), but that was a few years back.

And it's human nature to complain about a product to whoever will listen or read (forums), but they don't blab about a product when they are satisfied with it.

Okay, I found one. The truck doesn't have an 3.5 mm auxiliary audio input, probably saved about $.15 per unit on that. Been trying to figure out a way to get a Windows tablet audio to play through the truck speakers, other than bluetooth, gotta leave that connection available for the phone.
I tried plugging the tablet into the USB port but Sync doesn't recognize it as a source. Bummer.
Seems like a hardwired FM modulator may do the trick. Any other ideas?

Probably not the majority....but some people would still prefer to have a CD player.

The system can handle two (2) Bluetooth devices simultaneously. First, add your Windows tablet as a device by pairing it with Sync 3. Then, go to the "Phone" screen and have the system connect to your phone. Next, select the "change device" option and select your tablet. The system should prompt you to connect "Phone & Media" or just "Media". Select media and you should be able to use both devices as once. I have done this on many occasions with 2 phones (work and personal) but not with a tablet, but I would think it should function the same way.

well.....sad to say...but that is their job...to pinch pennies

Have you looked at Ford's stock price. They have to milk every last penny out of a top earner like the Raptor. If the lighted usb cost .25 more then the un lit one.....x 1 million units on all f150s....$250k saved does not go unnoticed. When they do that level of saving on 100's of parts...it all adds up.

So for the $3.85 per vehicle saved, why don't they just add that to the bottom line as everyone would pay it and not bitch about the cost cutting? Or am I just making too much sense?

Woah! I tried fiddling with it earlier but came to the conclusion it wasn't possible. I tried the way you laid out and it worked. Thank You Sir!
I told my wife the procedure and she said, well yeah, duhh.

I still miss my quad 8 tracks!! I'm sure they will come back some day.
That's true. Kids today will never get to experience seeing 8 track tape strewn in the grass all along the roads, from people getting pissed off and throwing them out the window.
