I had bald tires at 26K miles.. Dealership offered 30% off. Bottom line....after all the BS dealer charges for balancing, installing, etc, they were literally $200 more than Discount Tire. I ended up getting Nitto Terra
grapplers at Discount Tires and am very happy with them. Very sour taste from AutoNation Ford Katy in Katy Texas. Will never go back to them.

I love the stock KO2s, but my mileage experience on my first set was similar. I replaced them at 4/32 with 22,500 miles on them. I didn't think much of it... I had an Xterra which I ran Wrangler Duratracs on. I'd get about 28k from a set. I just assume I'm going to get 20-30k from a set of off-road performance tires.

Is there some other tire people are using that's doing better without compromises? I got a second set of KO2s (C load, 6 ply, like OE) before the winter, and paid full price because 22.5k seemed normal for the tire type and my driving style. Am I an idiot or do some of you have unrealistic expectations based on experience with another vehicle type?

Just coming up to 51,000 on my original KO2’s; could possibly squeeze another 3k out of them.

Agree that they are not the best wet tire and they’ve become noisy as they age, but will likely replace in-kind

It is all in how you drive, highway/city/off-road and inflate - my 2018 had 51,000 miles on the original set.

Wow. Crazy! I know I drive "spiritedly" but I must be driving with more spirit than I though. I'm getting half what some people are reporting. Wondering if some batches are better than others or if driving style can really cause a swing from low 20k to low 50k on KO2s.

mine were gone before i hit 20k - i went Toyo as i couldnt bring myself to buy the BFGs even at a steep discount. 2nd set on two different trucks that wore out prematurely. too bad...

I’m over 30k and will be buying new ones soon, but I’m not in any immediate need. Honestly, the way I drive, if I make 30k on a set of tires, every mile more is a gift from heaven. I don’t think I’ve ever made the tire warranty mileage or the mileage claim the manufacturer makes.

The thing is, sure there are other tires out there but all of them are some kind of compromise - more aggressive mud tires, but less rain competent, much heavier, etc.

I’m just prepping for the financial pain of tire replacement now, rather than waiting.

I’ve read of some others slaying their KO2’s pretty quick as well. Are you running much lower PSI or something out of the norm by way of use case? I don’t always run the factory recommended 38 psi, but I do tend to run higher than the raptor assault preferred settings

I do have my eyes on some wheels but... I need black Friday like deals to make that work. I’m probably going to have to grab a set of tires before I can swing wheels.
The way i drive......Awesome!

Whoa, that is simply unacceptable.

I just took my stock KO2's off today @ just over 27k and they're still in good shape (not sure of the tread depth at the moment). As for their overall performance, they have done well considering the truck has been routinely off-road for work (mud, snow/ice) and driven in the past two winters up here in the NE without any issues.
