I just ordered a 15lb PT, I'm not going to mount it in the bed because I dont want it exposed to the elements nor do I want it stolen.

I know the 15lb is bigger than the 10 but curious who here keeps their PT in the cab?

I ordered mine with the bag but am not opposed to mounting it inside with the bracket they have been using.

After watching Jaws initially in 1975 and many times since, I would be nervous with that tank sitting behind my seat. Good luck...

I have the 15lb PT in blue and have used it many times. It worked great. I mounted my in the bed with their mount and bracket. The bracket have place that you could install a padlock locking it, I also have a bed cover so I am not worrie about being stolen.

It's a shame people don't realize they can buy a brand new aluminum tank (10 lb.) for $110.00 plus a fixed 150PSI regulator for less than $50.00 instead of spending hundreds more with PT. Everything they sell is at "premium pricing" but there is that PT sticker.

Keeping it in the back seat if mounted could be OK except that it's CO2 which wouldn't be a good thing to have leak. Sure the tank is under pressure so there's some element of danger there. It would be best to store/carry a CO2 tank in the bed in a bracket. By the way, you can get a bracket online for $50.00 instead of the mega-bucks versions sold by PT (but they are stainless steel so there's that).

Here is a channel I follow where he installed an L Track bolted to the seat looked pretty slick.
