Went from stock height / wheels to 2.25” collars and 20s with 35s and can’t really tell a substantial difference with mpg or power, road noise, yes, but then again, maybe it’s just me. Want to go fast, get a GT500 and put a Kenne Bell blower on it.

What was the impact on the suspension and handling? Do you feel the bumps and potholes more now? Did the ride get stiffer?

I’be been wondering if going from 20s and 35s to a stock setup will make it more “cushy”.

@op if you really want to notice mpg gains, accelerate slower and drive 65mph. You’ll get to your destination slower but the gas savings are significant. Not as fun though.... I pay the price for my lead foot at the pump

Yeah, I’ve never been the speed demon. I do let into it here and there though.

From what one of the posters said adding 20’s and some MT 35’s he didn’t really notice much difference in mpg. So I might be able to go that route without a significant decrease.

After 20s and M/Ts, the main thing I noticed was the the added road noise over stock, especially around 40 mph for some reason. The ride / mpg / etc. was a negligible difference - for me personally. However, I only had the stockers on a few weeks before 20s, I didn't get a bunch of seat time with them. So, I'm sure others have had more experience with stocks vs bigger wheels who can hopefully provide more opinions. Also, a forum search on this or related topics may get you some quick info. At the end of the day, I went with what I wanted, other variables were not considered.

Yeah. What MPG’s do you get in your truck with that wheel and tire combo?

Isn't part of the point of sprung/unsprung weight is that you can adjust for the sprung weight to help handling but unsprung weight is just a hinderance to handling?

Sprung weight can be managed with various tunings and mechanical changes but unsprung weight is just dead weight.
