I don't drive in M very often.
Maybe a couple of times a week

But this has happened twice

After coming to a stop during manual mode, the car gear feels very heavy. As if I was in a high gear - imagine trying to drive off in 4th gear.

I tried the obvious, shifting gears down. But it showed it was in 1 and wouldn't move up either.
Tried putting it into auto.
Nothing.

Turning the vehicle off then on fixed it.

But this has happened twice already.

Definitely something wrong. When you are in M, and slowing to stop, does the transmission automatically downshift for you? It should.

You could try the battery disconnect to get the computer to re-learn but I’d be suspicious of that actually helping. This sounds like it needs a stealership visit.

I think so.
I'll test today.

I'm not sure if it's transmission it or electronic.
Because restarting (lol) the vehicle remedied it.

I had the similar thing happen to me on my 1st day diving a new 2019 SCREW home from NE to AZ. When I called the dealer their suggestion was try tuning the truck off for 5 min. Corrected the problem and no recurrence since (8K miles). Having said that if it occurred again it would go to the dealer to be checked. On a side note I was on an American Airlines plane when the pilot came on and said a warning light in the cockpit was on and flight control in Dallas told them to turn the plane off and then back on and see if it fixed the problem. It did and they were cleared for take off. Much more comforting in a Raptor!
