In the front cup holder, under the rubber pad, is a slot to insert the key. It will recharge and sync your keys.

Hey guys. I normally just read through forums but I had this problem intermittently with my 2019 AND my wifes 2018 Mustang. This was so agravating that I was pulling my hair out and called my truck everything but a push mower. But I found the problem or at least the particular problem with my own truck and car then felt a little stupid afterward (But that's just me). I felt that this info might help others out!

The OEM installed USB ports aren't powerful enough to "fast charge" my phone. Plus I wanted a wireless charging pad permantly installed in my center console. So I fabbed a wireless coil into the console tray I had plugged a "high power" USB charger into the 12vlt cigarette lighter port inside the center console and another for my wife in the dash 12vlt port. I didn't put the timing together right then but I started having issues with IA right then.

So after new batteries, a trip to the dealership who replaced one fob, and lots and lots of cussing, it struck me. I went to the closet and grabbed my 1970s RadioShack AM/FM radio and walked out to my truck. I turned it on, switched to AM and low and behold RF interference out the ********!!! After experimenting I found that if both USB Chargers were plugged in, my fob didn't work at all. When just the dash charger was plugged in my key wouldn't work from the passenger side.

Like most, these USB adapter/charger use switching power supplies that put out so much RF interference that they would actually block my keyfob signal. I also found that my wife's 12vlt adapter for her nursing pump (lthat she would sometimes leave plugged in her car) did the same to her keyfob. So I bought a few different USB adapters until I found some quiter ones and simply soldered up some quick cigarette lighter extensions to move the adapters away from the console for any other problematic chargers.

I know this probably won't help many but maybe it will help a couple of folks out.
