Sync 3 update

What do you guys mean by "USB" do I just plug a usb cable from my phone into the usb port?

No you have to put the update file on a thumb drive then plug it in to your usb to do the update. I’m not aware of a way that it can be done from the phone but maybe others can chime in.

So as most have, I too got the message on ford pass to update. Login and it says. No updates available for me. Mine is an 18 & im still on 3.0 from what it says.

Did yall get an update to 3.3? Or have to force an update from somewhere else.

Wondering what the update is on the Ford site when it is actually available.
Is it ver 3.4?

I have the ver 3.4 already from a month or so ago. From the hack I got off of this forum.
Wonder if Im screwed for good by using that hack?....Works flawlessly.

I've got an updated version of 3.3 showing available, but when I try to extract the files it gets hung up on SyncMyRide\4U5T-14G381-AN.tar.gz. I tried a few different applications to expand it and most say it's an unknown error, but one says it's in an unrecognized format or something. I got one that said it finished extracting with errors, and it shows the file there, but I'm not going to risk trying to install it.

The drive had to be in a special format to take. Perhaps that is the problem?

I don’t think so. I tried different drives all formatted in exFAT, per the instructions. The problem came when extracting the zip file. Tried doing it on the drive. On the computer. On a different computer. On windows. On Mac. Tried redownloading it a few times. No dice. I’m wondering if anybody’s updated from the file download. I suspect it’s corrupted.
