Honestly Im massive car guy - that being my only real vice (aside from surfing and golf) and I am baffled anyone would worry about 44miles on a new car. New automobiles are designed to run over 100,000 miles and all come with multi year warranty so how would 30-40 minutes of driving affect anything?

I could understand if it had 500miles having questions - but under 50?

I will say that all cars and trucks will get miles before delivery. I’ve owned a few new Ferrari’s and they all came with around 20-30 miles as they all get driven on the track in Italy before they ship. Then add all the transport, customs, shop delivery and detail which all adds miles. It doesn’t mean the car isn’t new? I guess I’m just a bit confused????

I agree with you for the most part... 44 miles is nothing on a new car. so the manager took it to lunch a few times ....but on the other hand if you took your GT3 RS in for service and it came back you you with an extra 44 miles because the dealer guy that parks the cars took " the long way home" would you be concerned?

I might be slightly annoyed. But that’s a different scenario however, since you own that car at this point. A vehicle that arrived at a dealers lot before the full purchase is made is another story. All the reasons have been mentioned. Hey I agree if your buying something, then care should be taken in handling of it and minimize its use. Keep it as ****** for the customer as possible.

What’s been done at the factory you have to let fly. There gonna do what they need to and want to.

A little different scenario since I own the car. That said most sports cars do get driven a little after service to ensure no error lights etc come on. honestly I’ve never checked my mileage when Taking a car for in for service so maybe a little “Ferris Buller” driving is happening unbeknownst to me..lol

Mine had 120 miles on it (leftover '18). The dealer used it in a local parade and I have no doubt that they hammered on it. But, it runs great and just turned over 26k miles today (just a few days from one year of ownership).

Probably did hammer on it. I took mine in to have the transmission shifting checked. Smaller dealer about 30 miles from town, never seen a Raptor for sale there. I go to pick it up, they say the tech drove it and felt the odd shifting, service writer drove it and felt it, service manager drove it and felt it.

Thoughts of the garage attendant in Ferris Bueller's day off, were going through my head. lol. Oh well.

I don't know what mine had on it when I bought it new. It didn't matter to me. 11 months later I have 32k miles.

Mine has been in Sport mode 95% of the time (except when off-road for work) and thankfully, the tranny shifts fine.
