Just a heads up, I've been running for over a year with Forscan mod of having parking lights on and headlights off during the day. Got rear ended and had to replace the bumper today and the fixtures are very discolored. I will be shopping for new bulbs today.

I assume that's your license plate bulb. That's normal actually. That halogen bulb gets VERY hot and discolors the connector. A lot of folks switch out the tail lights to LED (it's the only bulb on the truck that's still halogen for some strange reason).

Yes, light for the plate. Is there an LED alternative that isn't super bright? I am afraid brighter lights will wash out the reverse camera. Thx.

Yeah lots of options out there. We used to sell a license plate bulb BUT because of Fords REALLY TINY design, they were tough to fit. Diode Dynamics sells some 194 LED bulbs (same kind we sold actually). Theirs fit, as they remove a diffuser piece on the end. But folks have a helluva time with them over the course of the trucks life. The 194s have VERY tiny pins and the pins tend to get bent and lose connection.

A lot of folks swwear by the Philips 194 LEDs that you can grab at any auto parts store.

We're a Diode Dynamics dealer but we don't really stock their 194 bulbs (no markup honestly in such a tiny/cheap bulb).

Well if you are running factory reverse lights, you'll never be able to see properly at night. You should look at upgrading to a Baja Designs S2 Reverse Kit: http://www.4x4truckleds.com/baja-designs-ford-raptor-2017-s2-reverse-light-kit/

lol, that was a nice way to slide in the sales pitch. Absolutely correct though. I have the S1 reverse light with an amber lense and it helps out tremendously. Certainly doesn't wash out the camera.

The only issue is if you do a lot of reversing in an area where the light could bother people frequently for whatever reason. Even then, you can adjust them down so they are no more bothersome than your headlights.
