Bought a new one! Big shoutout and thanks to Tyler and his crew at Future Ford in Sacramento for reaching out on the forums, proffering a killer deal, and making the entire process totally painless. And good god, how the market has shifted since '17...

Can't wait to get this build going.

Hell yeah! Congrats man, glad we could make it easy and get the truck you wanted - saving you a drive home from Texas! Let me know anytime you need something

Dropped it at the local dealer this morning for a few things. Oil running down the windshield from the sensor pod behind the rear view mirror, auto wipers have no clue what speed to go and the freezing door lock thing. They called this evening and haven’t even looked at it. First vehicle in tomorrow. Terrific service. At least he did say everything was gonna be warranty work.

Installed a beautiful black CVFabrication Titan IC.

Being a one man operation with no jack to assist in the heavy lifting proved challenging at times. Admittedly, though, there were a couple times I had to laugh at my struggles (but glad no one was there to see!)

Next up....COBB Accessport with a custom Goosetune + TCM +secondary fuel map from @wgr73 arriving any day now.

They looked at the oil on the Windshield and said ‘No idea’ and said the problem with the wipers is that I had the feature turned off. I told them no shit it was off. It didn’t know what speed to run so I use the wipers on manual. Also, I again informed them that the rain sensor happens to be filled with a clear gel oil and lives right where the leak is coming from. Now a grumpy tech who thought he finished a job has to pull it back in and try again. A quick google search pulls up 15 different forums of mostly luxury brands with this exact failure mode and solution. If I have to I’ll stop by and talk to the tech myself and show him. It can’t be that hard.

Maybe I’m being a little hard on them. We’ll see.

edit. I just talked to them again. They said they took it apart and cleaned it and got no codes. I asked if I can just come in tomorrow morning and talk to the tech directly. He said sure. I’m appreciative that they’ll at least work with me. I said it leaked and that’s just not acceptable to clean it and leave it.

It took a little convincing but they’re going to order a new rain sensor and schedule me to get it put in. The tech said he couldn’t definitively say where the oil was coming from and they don’t like to throw parts at stuff. I told them I get it, but it’s not like there are 3-4 things in that pod that could be leaking clear silicone oil. There’s just one single thing that is filled with that kind of stuff and it’s known to do that in plenty of other vehicles. They eventually said no worries and they’ll take care of it.
