Very discouraged to hear all of that. It's a shame that your whole owner experience was ruined because they wouldn't simply replace the transmission, which the dealer apparently couldn't fix. As it sits right now, does the transmission still have an issue?

For anyone else in a similar situation in which the dealer attempts multiple repairs on an engine/transmission with no resolution, I highly recommend asking for a Ford (corporate) Field Service Engineer (FSE) to be involved. Reason being that multiple repair attempts to fix the same component clearly indicate that they are either doing something wrong, or an issue is present that is very difficult to identify (for example a case casting defect). An FSE can be requested from Ford Customer Care or the dealership service management. For situations like this one, they will usually get one involved. The FSE will review the repairs that have been performed, and if it is determined that the issue is internal to the assembly, they have the ability to authorize complete replacement of the affected assembly (engine/transmission).

Right now the truck, well it's someone else's problem.
Transmission was acting up on the way to surrender it.

We delt with a service engineer ,tech line and customer support at Ford. Was also told I don't know how the transmission should act"because its electronic". That was good for a laugh

Dealership replaced the pump control valves and some other crap, oh and refreshed tcm 4 plus times.

My thinking is if you have programmed the trans a bunch and the problem persists it's a hard part that's out of spec.

Surrendered my 19 yesterday. My 20 shifts amazingly smooth, compared to the 19. I've only put 200 miles on it so far but its 100% night and day difference.
