Wow, what a mess. Are you purchasing another Raptor?

No, I cant get behind Ford because of the way everything went down.
It's a shame because I really did like the truck but with how un reliable it was the truck needed to go.

So I finally have a date to turn in the truck.
Wow, this has been a cluster f*** from the start,I'll share some of my experiences with you guys.

1. Repairs with countless trips to the dealership with a trans that would slip intermittently and overheat/ smoke the total time in the shop came to 130ish days.

2. Customer care (Ford Corp.) Said they agreed with the tech, myself, service advisor and tech line that the transmission was flawed and should be replaced.
Then the change in willingness to help came about. My wife was talking to the CCR and asked point blank ,"is Ford refusing to honor their warranty? " to that they respond yes you can pay for it out of pocket.

3. Vehicle reacquisition team (Ford corp.)
They drag the processes out by asking for one piece of information at a time and then wait a few days and repeat. Oh and by the way that last round of paperwork is to old now to use now! Start over....

So now that I've been run around and got the shaft, I sign there very onesided offer under distress.

So I'm paying for miles that the dealership put on my truck as well as the ones I did (all of the repair tickets have the same mileage in and out) even though I shouldn't be. I never even got out of the state with the truck.

Also got blocked from fords Facebook when I called them out on this BS. If I was on there saying " f u! Ford" then I could understand but they don't want that bad press on the page so they blocked me.

At the end of it all I'm not really mad the truck turned out to be a dud, but the way I've been treated is total ********.

I'm done with my soap box now.

Sorry for the not so thought out post and poor grammar guys ,still a little upset about the whole situation.

Wow! So let me get this straight, Ford identified that your transmission was flawed, but never replaced it?!

That’s my question as well.

It going to be tough down grading after owning a Raptor owner. The trucks are just bad ass and the truck everyone aspires to owning.

Very discouraged to hear all of that. It's a shame that your whole owner experience was ruined because they wouldn't simply replace the transmission, which the dealer apparently couldn't fix. As it sits right now, does the transmission still have an issue?

For anyone else in a similar situation in which the dealer attempts multiple repairs on an engine/transmission with no resolution, I highly recommend asking for a Ford (corporate) Field Service Engineer (FSE) to be involved. Reason being that multiple repair attempts to fix the same component clearly indicate that they are either doing something wrong, or an issue is present that is very difficult to identify (for example a case casting defect). An FSE can be requested from Ford Customer Care or the dealership service management. For situations like this one, they will usually get one involved. The FSE will review the repairs that have been performed, and if it is determined that the issue is internal to the assembly, they have the ability to authorize complete replacement of the affected assembly (engine/transmission).
