Yesterday I took the opportunity to change out the Mercon LV fluid in my new transfer case after only 250 miles. Son of a gun, I found several things of interest.

First, I found that the mechanic at the Ford dealership failed to fully tighten the magnetic drain plug she swapped from my original transfer case to the new one. It spun off pretty freely. She didn't use Teflon tape on the threads, either. Caught the leak in time.

Second and more importantly, I found a fairly decent coating of fine metallic particles on the magnetic drain plug after only 250 miles. I knew I'd find some - everything has a break-in period - but there was quite a bit more than I expected after only 250 miles.

I'm glad I swapped out the fluid so early (the transfer case only uses 50 ounces - just over a quart and a half), and very glad I have magnetic plugs in the transfer case and both differentials.

Teflon tape is a lubricant. So be careful. Hydraulic valves with npt fittings have no warranty if you split and they find teflon traces

Cut off a few pieces of the protective tubing from the old recirc system onto the new hoses that I noticed were rubbing up against each other.

Installed a beautiful black CVFabrication Titan IC.

Being a one man operation and no jack to assist with the heavy lifting proved challenging at times. Admittedly, though, there were a couple times I had to laugh at myself (but glad no one was there to see!)

Next up....COBB Accessport with a custom Goosetune + TCM +secondary fuel map from @wgr73 arriving any day now.

Wrong thread buddy. Last I recall we don’t have Intercoolers because we have 2 more cylinders and corn Cobb’s are for Jenny’s.

My Raptor has been sitting for a couple days. Shock leaked down so I parked it until I can get some replacements put in. A little under the gun as the RTO run at Durhamtown is closing in fast!

I feel for you, I am attending the RTO run next weekend and duramtown. I am trying to wrap up some stuff prior and I feel the window closing.

You know you want that Stage 4....it has your name on it. :)
In stock and you will have it in a few days. Gives you the entire month of February to install or we can do it for you.

Hope you make the deadline! Let me know how the NC location is. May start looking to run there since it's a bit closer than Dtown!

It very much is calling me Rick... Hopefully we'll know if I can give it a proper home in the next day or so!
