nothing obvious right now, however its 45 degrees and overcast. Supposed to be 65 and sunny later today, if so I'm going to wash it and see if I notice any diffrence. I will post new pic after wash. it is a June 2018 build and is 90% parked outside.

Can you fit an AR or Shockwave back there will an 802a option?

I've not tried either, but I don't see how an AR would fit and question whether a Shockwave would fit. Manually tilt your rear seat back forward and try. thanks

It seriously unacceptable how much horrible the coating is on these truck frames/chasis components. I live in SoCal and the underside is rusted so horribly. I'm scarted what these trucks will look like in 10 years if they are not constantly re coated. You did a great job by the way! Diff looks brand new,.

I agree mostly. Agree that there's a few surfaces that could have used some paint from the factory, but don;t agree that the rust is everywhere. Maybe mine is different, but I have rust on the cast-iron portion of the diff including the connection from the pinion to the U-joint, there also about a 4-inch section of both front driveshafts, but that is it. No body rust (aluminum) and the frame looks fine, a few spots where I've scrapped my skid plates are showing some sign of it but I damaged the paint, the silver skid plate up front has some deep scratches that show no sign of rust, I think that is a different metal, I'm not sure.


So yeah, they could have done a better job of protecting the metal in a few places. Seems more out of place on a $55-80K truck but these components come on the $35K ones too. On top of that this is purely cosmetic, the problem areas are underneath (where many/most will never see) and I suspect left untreated by pumpkin would last another 200 years before rust became a concern beyond cosmetics.

I just could stand seeing it any longer, but I am underneath the truck at least every other month it seems, and the rust really kicks in my OCD.

I ordered this to apply on my 2020 Raptor I’m picking up today. Watch the video, this stuff is amazing. I spoke with the representative and have full Confidence applying to the entire engine bay under carriage. I ordered the kit that included a pre cleaning Product.

I never coated the underside before. I'm going on 3 years old and my truck has surface rust on almost all the non aluminum components under the truck. I'm going to sand and coat everything down soon, but in my opinion even for a 35k truck its not acceptable these days.

When I called the manufacturer directly, he said they use this on lots of industrial equipment in the midwest where there is lots of exposure to Snow, high humidity, salt and mud, such as farming equipment, they do not re-apply, The coat the entire machine, including engine, paint, plastics, rubber and Electrical parts. I'd highly recommend you calling them directly or shoot them an email.
