I had the motor replaced this year and the mechanic told me the new was slightly different than the one he removed. So I think I got lucky and got the newer version.

Was the new engine under warranty ? Why was it replaced ?

It was... I never really got a straight answer on the exact failure from ford. Basically lost oil pressure so I took it to the dealer and they said they found metal in the oil. Then they took 4 months to replace the motor.

Are you saying the 2018+ Raptors without the appliqué come with F150 stamped tailgates? My truck is Magnetic, so the appliqué and fender flairs pretty much disappear unless you are really close to it.

the non appliqué tailgate is just the standard f-150 tailgate with a raptor badge. I believe in 18 ford started stamping f-150 into the tailgates of all non appliqué trucks. I don’t like that new trend where companies are stamping the name of the truck in huge letters. I know what I bought haha
