I think I did the 0A88. I'm not sure what the C3 part is.

That’s all you need to do. I made this change in forescan and it was a night and day difference.

can you provide a link on how to do this please? Never had FORScan so not sure what needs to be done.

What do you guys think are the best Forscan values to use with all aftermarket speakers and an external sub, but all factory amps?

I feel like im not getting full range out of the front door speakers, like the high are cut off.

I am using the 088 c3 for crew cab 7 speaker.

If your utilizing these factory B&O amp then you will never realize the potential or hear the potential of your new aftermarket speakers.

The only possible ForScan tweak was for the factory sub. If you set it to aftermarket sub, supposedly it won’t roll off as much when you crank up the volume. I have done this and it did seem to play with more authority and higher volume levels. But this is just my ears and no diagnostic measurements. But you can try it. Some say don’t change it.

So what is the correct setting with the B&O system to allow the sub to sound better?

unpossible...you guys are chasing a ghost. the only way to improve the B&O system is to replace it. The B&O amp is the problem...it has way too little power and it is where all the nasty bass management is being done.

If you have the B&O and are not prepared to throw $1,500 - $2,000 minimum (you doing labor) at your stereo, you are just wasting money.

you arent supposed to get full range out of the door speakers. its a component setup and the tweeters in the pillar work in conjunction with them to give you the full range signal

The only place you can get a "full range" signal is off the rear doors. And it is only full range at low volume levels. As soon as the volume goes up, the bass management kicks in and the low frequencies roll off. This is done in the B&O amp. This is done to protect the factory speakers from constantly blowing due to lack of power (like 10 watts), and the distortion created with low frequencies and lack of power. Ford does not want people constantly having warranty claims for blown speakers.

The reason you cant use the front doors, is because the B&O amp only powers the mid woofer in the door. It is crossed over in the amp. A second amp or module is under the front dash somewhere and that is what powers the tweeters in the A pillar.

Put all this together, and that is why you are just burning money trying to make the B&O system sound any better then it is. replacing the speakers is pointless because the amp is where all the problems are at. In fact, get rid of the B&O amp and the factory doors actually dont sound half bad.

So, your best recourse is to buy a NAV TV, Buy a 5 channel amp, buy rear 2 way speakers, buy front components, and buy some subs under or behind the rear seat. Around $2k if you can do it yourself. $3k if you need a professional. (estimates may vary).
