I think it just depends on your area. I would go with a trusted installer over the brand. That is just my opinion. The Line-x is closest to my area and I didn’t get the UV because I use a tonneau cover.

good luck with your purchase.

Line-X this time. Great installer that is next to Ford dealer. Got standard since I run rubber bed mat. OEM on first one which was ok to me until I saw the extra coverage and install quality on Line-X and compare side-by-side.

I just did the regular LineX on mine. I was going to do the premium but the guy talked me out of it and said if it does eventually start to fade I could come back and he’d spray the protective cover on it to give it the shine back.

I got both of my last two Trucks Line-X'd but have never heard of this UV upsell, you'd have thought they would have mentioned it. Two different shops 5 years apart.

Doesn't matter those because of Tonneau cover.

I’ve had both and I like Line-X better. The Rhino is softer as mentioned above, but in my experience, it is also damaged more easily. I have had Line-x in my 3 most recent trucks including my current Raptor. I have not gotten the upgraded UV treatment on any of Line-x’d trucks and it still fades way less than the Rhino did. I also have Line-X sprayed on the racks on all my ATVs and like the durability it provides.

Ok, I’ll bite but not hard enough to draw blood. How much is line-x? Is it that much better than Ford’s liner which I’ve had in my 3 trucks with zero issues. Is it cheaper?

Only reason I’d order my next truck without a liner is I want the wheel wells done also and most Line-x installers won’t do just the wells.

Ford OEM and Line-X run about the same. Some Ford dealers order all their trucks without OEM spray in as they have struck deals with aftermarket providers. I have OEM in my '17 and Line-X in my '20. My OEM has spray over all brackets / hardware which I did not like. Line -X has more coverage than OEM. Is one significantly better than the other....probably not.....but I like / prefer Line -X over OEM. Key is installer.
