Mechanical shit can break, Ford’s responsibility under warranty is to make it right with new parts. I think those calling for a buyback are being ridiculous, but that’s just my opinion from working in the auto service industry as a consultant for 13 years. Many customers ask for the moon, but usually get what they are actually entitled to. Some trade assistance to a new model may be a possibility, but I couldn’t see more than $5K over the current trade in value.

I’ve never had an issue with a long term loaner car, my record was 3 months on my 2005 Titan, another time was 2 months on my 2011 Touareg. I think it’s reasonable to request a pickup truck loaner vs a car loaner as that is what I dropped off and what I need for work, I have done that in the past on stuff longer than a week.

You should stay on top of Ford like a wet blanket .
I like the idea of setting a time limit , say 3 weeks or get me a 2020. but you will be out the monies for tint, xpel and any other non removable upgrade.

And don't be afraid to get nasty with them, Ford ****** me around for months on repairs and still months for a buyback.
