Effective difference in 315-70-17 and 35-12.5-17?

When the stock tires wear out, are most guys just putting on 35-12.5-17 tires? What’s the difference?

at least when it comes to duratracs, the 315 is load d rated, the 35 is load e rated.

same with the KO2. 35 is E rated. i’ve moved up to the 37, which is D rated.

there’s also the KO2 “DT” if you are looking for more miles on the tire. i’ve read that they aren’t rated for snow like the original KO2 is, however.

So, basically, you can run the 35-12.5-17 size tires with no I’ll effects such as rubbing, speedo error, etc?

When I was looking for tires the KO2 315/70/17 vs K02 35/12.5/17 the 35/12.5 were 5lbs heavier per tire.

Unsprung weight is they key to sp many performance variables. 5lbs on each corner would impact the truck negatively in so many ways.
