This adapter has a built-in switch, is capable of firmware flashing, and 9x faster than a regular USB Adapter like the OHP/VINT with toggle switch. I just had a conversation with the FORScan developer about it and this is the real deal and almost as fast as a J2534 adapter so it's a lot of bang for the buck and there is collaboration with OBDLink & FORScan on maximum compatibility. I've been testing this adapter out for the last few weeks and it doesn't disappoint!

So far it works, but I've only read from the truck. Have NOT written anything yet, still trying to make sure I'm 100% certain how the UI of Forscan works.

Assuming it actually works writing to it, this is a 100% free solution for MacOS, no Windows license required. The Windows VM only last 90 days before you have to download another, so be sure to copy any backups to host machine's hard drive.
