I've seen a couple of YT vids suggesting to go 2wd while jumping if possible...(to save the half shafts) When I'm running with a group the pace is fast and to increase cornering ability I usually run in 4wd, and have gotten little bits of air here and there...but on the rare occasion I jump on purpose I'll go back to 2wd.....

BUT I'm not saying to do that because I have some info or insight because I don't....just figured it couldn't hurt...

And no issues with the driveline with how I'm driving the truck off road so far..

I would prefer 2wd... The sudden jarring the front wheels get when landing could really hurt some components I would think... Half shafts, diff, etc.

What do you mean by jump? IMO the Raptor was built to run across rough ground, at a high rate of speed, maybe clearing “earth” approx. 6-12 inches as it pressed on to where you are trying to beat everyone else to. I think if you start trying to figure out how you can “jump” as you put it you will wind up breaking crap as mentioned in 4all and only jump in 2high. Lots of owners think they can do all kinds of things in this truck that it was not designed to do and they’re disappointed in it when it fails. Remember, these things weigh 6000 lbs. When you get that much weight off the ground it comes down hard! Our suspension system was not designed for that type of use. Use it as it was intended to be used and she”LL serve you well. Abuse her and she’ll surely fail. Just saying

Not sure on the GEN2 but the owners manual SVT DVD from Ford for the GEN1 states to be in 4H when jumping. I have never had an issue with it and supposedly the GEN2 is a better raptor so should be the same or better.
