I just installed BD S2 reverse lights. 4X4 LEDs.com included upfitter harness for free. I had a fish tape, but used a piece of coax cable instead. Shoved it through the frame from the front, all the way to back. Then taped the two leads from the harness to coax and pulled back to front easily. Seems like it would be more of a hassle to run outside of frame.
