I have an all stock 2011 with 63k miles on it. I am looking to start upgrading some things. Possibly now a supercharger since all I've been seeing is how they are extremely worth the money.

Does rousch have the best SC? Whipples look pretty nice but I really don't know what I'm looking at.

I would like a package that comes w everything so I don't have to take my truck somewhere.

I don't know what else I would have to do to my truck if I were to add a SC. I'm not very mechanically inclined as I had a 06 grand prix my whole life and never really did anything other than brakes and simple shit... I would however put the SC in myself as I can figure it out with some instruction...my dad would also prob be happy to help if he had time to come over.

Thank you.

@Gub

The Whipple Stage II with the new Gen 4 compressor cannot be beat.

This is the complete upgraded kit with Tune and SCT Tuner Device
There is a Throttle Body upgrade which I have, the Twin 68mm

For the Roush guys, Roush is ok.

And you need more upgrade options that are not listed on Roush's website to get all you can out of it.
If you want the Roush Tune you need to send your PCM to them.
But from all the feed back on the forum @JimIII@JDM is the best Tune for Roush.
Twin 65mm TB, smaller SC pulley, larger heat exchanger or a second one, I'm not sure what Roush did.

Whipple costs a little more but you get more power.

I recommend upgrading to billet oil pump gears and traction bars.

After looking at both I’m leaning over to the Roush kit. You can get the kit from JDM with their tuner and not have to send your pcm. Their tune is a lot better than the Roush calibration too. Another thing to take into consideration on the Whipple you would have to remove the upper part of the blower to replace your alternator if it ever went out.

But it’s easier to change coils and spark plugs with a Whipple. Just depends on what headache you want to deal with if/when the time comes.

I'd go for the Whipple if it's a more efficient blower. You will be changing plugs/coils. You may never need a new alternator. Either way it's not THAT big of a deal to yank the blower. Two guys and a few beers will get it done in a half hour once you've done it.

I'd also find the local Ford tuner and get it tuned there on a dyno instead of using a canned/main-in tune. Its' nice to know that when you are commanding 10.8:1 AF ratio at WOT that you are actually getting that.

If I were to do it over again I'd probably do the Whipple, but I'm happy with my Roush. I didn't realize the alternator difficulty with the Whipple. I did have to replace my alternator earlier this year RIGHT before a road trip (I was literally hitching up to my camper when it went out). Sure glad I didn't have the Whipple at that moment. Fun fact, you do have to remove the alternator on a Roush to change the oil in the blower. That's annoying, but not terrible.
