The thing that surprised me when I pulled the factory lower shutter assembly is the amount of mud. One of the blades was completed coated from dried mud and there’s no real way to clean it from outside the truck. The face of the factory intercooler that sits against the shutter assembly was the same way.

If mud isn’t an issue in your area this would obviously never be a concern. I’m glad to have it up and more easily accessible for cleaning purposes but would not mind additional fans just for peace of mind!

I did run Stage 2 but now got a Goose tune.

yes everything is like OEM setup now with shutters in place and with 2 custom fitted fans on the back side of the AMS Intercooler
Thank you. Did you reuse the stock fans on a custom bracket?

Has anyone dyno'd their Raptors after the Stage 2? I understand Cobb's position with the percentages, but curious as to ballpark numbers. I just bought a Raptor that has all of the Stage 2 components, I just need the Accessport :)

Each truck is different. But dont have the dyno right now. But stage 2 was about 404hp and 490ish torque.

Processed to get a custom tune from a cobb pro tuner.

Reach out to @wgr73 goosetuned. He can get you set up with an access port, he is also a pro tuner. His stage 2 tune is amazing!!!! Absolutely no comparison to the Cobb stage 2 tune!

For those who did the stage 2 with a custom tune, have you noticed any drawbacks? Does the truck have any drivability concerns across the range of driving conditions that these trucks encounter?

My experience with customs tunes (though on less sophisticated ECU’s) has been they are optimized for conditions they were created under and struggle under other driving scenarios. For example, -20 degree starts through 100+ degree Baja runs, driving between sea level and 12,000ft, differing amounts of humidity and potentially towing/hauling.

My truck has been on a custom stage 2 goose tune from @wgr73 for more than 6 months with zero problems other than permagrin and cramped cheeks.
