Steel-it vs Powdercoating vs Line-X

If ya wanna get nuts & use a coating that has the best chance of not chipping no matter what I’d look for a cerakote installer in your area. Cerakote is along the lines of ceramic paint protection but more like paint or clear coat itself- used in extreme caustic/acidic/friction environments. Like coating a stainless or aluminum pot kiln for a distilery. Coating firearms....it provides super hard exterior shell like powdercoat but more extreme & w/ hardly any change to the texture/thickness of the item (powdercoating is pretty thick)

They have types specifically for AL or stainless or steel etc & different colors, besides adding color/protection it also acts the same as a ceramic paint protection would as far as being hydrophobic & stain resistant.

Here’s an example of what it does. This is a clear coat, but same would apply for a colored type. If you had no idea what this was before, you’re welcome ;-)

the only "paint" i would use on a radiator is the Thermal Dispersant by Tech-Line Coatings. Supposedly sheds heat better than raw aluminum

STEEL-IT for the win. Easy to touch up, stands up incredibly well, and heck its made in the USA...like really made in the USA, from start to finish.
