Yes. I’ve heard via email the KHC goal is to start shipping end of next week.

Why have we not gotten any updates from Offroad Alliance or Krazy House Customs on here or via email? This is pretty ridiculous at this point. Myself and others on here are probably in the same camp of "we don't mind waiting", but not being informed of what is happening from the guys doing the work is not acceptable. It feels like we've been scammed of $1300. Is it that hard to give us an update, show us a picture of the fab process, ANYTHING to make it feel like we aren't being robbed?

We all payed up OCT 1st and it's approaching 3 months, and lets be real here, are we to assume they will be working during the holiday time frame around the corner? I doubt it. I'm not asking for a refund. I'm not asking for you to rush the product. I just asking for the companies involved to tell/show us WTF is going on....

This has definitely been a lot longer of a process than any of us had hoped for. KHC has gotten a few shipped out, and hoping to get the bulk out essentially soon.

We appreciate everyone’s patience with this and please know that the crew at KHC is very much trying to get these shoved out the door.

Unfortunately its been my experience that Group Buys are great when it comes to saving money, but for one reason or another the outcome does not always correlate to the anticipated expectation. I will certainly welcome future group buys on the Forum, but this latest example make me think there needs to be guidelines going forward to avoid some of these pitfalls. To the buyers, I have experience with both KHC and Offroad Alliance and they are top notch so you do not need to be worried about receipt of your item. I will continue to monitor this thread.

Maybe there should be a sticky post that is a Group Buy Guideline that members and vendors can refer to. In fairness, ORA did say that the more orders we had, the longer it would take to deliver. OTOH, I see some room for improvement.

I think there should be a clear delivery timeline up front for future instances.

At least this one made it to the finish line for purchasers, I’ve seen probably half a dozen (not on FRF) fall apart with users backing out when it was time to pay up.

Although I agree that this is taking longer than expected, and that an accurate estimate of the lead time up front would have been helpful, getting this item installed on my truck is not what I would call an emergency. And in fairness, this is an item that is fabricated to order in house at KHC, not a pre-manufactured item that is kept in stock like lights, etc.

On a related note, I was pretty early to sign up and probably second to pay, and I haven’t heard anything. I’m Curious about the statements that several of these have gone out to people already. How is the order of shipment being determined?

We spoke with Dave at KHC this afternoon. A few have shipped a week or so ago, 5 more are at powder coat now (with shipping eta of a week or so) and the rest are approximately 30 days out.

We’ve tried to answer everyone’s emails, phone calls, PM’s, etc to the best of our abilities with the info we have been provided. It has definitely taken and is taking longer than either us or KHC originally anticipated.

If anyone does not want to wait, we’re happy to issue refunds.

I appreciate the response, but like i said I'm not trying to make the guys at KHC rush or anything. I (and I assume everyone else) just want to be kept up to date with what is happening. I.E: who's items are shipped, how many made, how many went to PC or etc. I'm not asking you guys to stop everything you're doing or slow the process and the information is pretty straight forward. A weekly update here I think is more than enough to keep everyone content. Thank you for the quick response and I apologize if I came off like an ass hat, but I'm sure you understand our position on this.

Was there zero anticipation of this group buy actually proceeding? As soon as it became clear there was going to be substantial demand, production should have started. This would also indicate that there is simply zero stock on hand and everything is made to order--very odd business model.

I agree with above, there needs to be weekly updates, even if the update is--hey, we haven't gone out of business and we're still making them, in fact, here is a picture or two of all of the sheet steel we ordered and here are some in some stage of completion.

Until people pay up, it’s not a done deal unfortunately. We only had one person abandon their spot, but a lot of group buys fall apart before or during the buy period.

Custom parts are built to order, and i would imagine there are few, if any, KHC keeps “in stock”. I get that part of this. also, keep in mind that time they spend on the internet is not build time.

I’d like some better feedback here too, but we knew up front that this would be asynchronous delivery. Just not this long.
