HT is likely watching the driver side of the truck. Unless the diff is locked the right rear will break loose first so he or the observer will likely not see it. Anyway, the truth will set him free..., someday.

I checked this out last night. my 2018 with torsen is never ever FWD biased when in AWD mode. If I am light on the gas pedal, the fronts never get power, and I never get a torque steer feel.

For sure haha. The raptor handles very similar to my tuned etc audi S4 in the snow...it's very impressive. I usually prefer the s4 hands down over a different vehicle of any type, but now it's a toss up between the raptor and the S4.

My Audi's (2000 A6 2.7t 6 speed) and (2015 SQ5) were always tanks in the snow when on the correct tires. I could go anywhere and up hills most suv's and truck would get stuck on. I drove around in snow really just showing off.

Haha same here. I have some good snow tires on mine and I LOVE driving around in fresh snow. Only time I'd rather not drive it is when there is maybe 8" of snow on the roads or more. Otherwise it's unstoppable.

Not trying to get into a argument, but if you know how just about every truck transfer case works, you then go "wait...that can't be right?"
The output shaft of a transfer case is mechanically connected to the input shaft from the trans..and in 4H they turn exactly the same speed, and the rear driveshaft is connected to the transfer case output shaft.

This reminded me of a truck I had many, many moons ago. Back when my buddies and I were recently graduated from high school we picked up some 4x4’s because ... well, just because. a mix of new / old, serviceable and beater. I scored a 77 chevy blazer 350 auto. It popped out of 4h and 4l, but could be “tied” in 4h :) I knew that wasn’t a long term answer so I picked up a rebuilt NP203 transfer case at Aamco.

Proceded to enjoy for wheeling for a while then was having work done when my mechanic calls up, says come to the shop. He’s jumping up and down mad that my truck almost killed him. It turned out that in 2h, my freshly rebuilt T/C was powering the front wheels, not the rear. I didn’t even know it was possible. Not sure what he was doing at the time, but I think he was trying to chase down a knocking sound under load.

I can’t believe H/T would have even remotely close to that issue.

I sold that blazer to a farmer buddy of mine for a little less than what I paid for it years later. Still with that goofed up T/C in it.

Funny stuff....well kinda....T/C re-built was definitely bungled..like a guy rebuilding a manual trans and its stuck in reverse...but he didn't know it..

Helping a friend how needed his steering box replaced on his 1972 Bronco...brought me the replacement box and after the installed i went for my first road test - Yikes!....you steer left and truck went right and visa versa... The box fit but was designed to be in front of the axle instead of behind like the stock box....pitman arm worked different

Either way we both know the Raptor can't have the front axle spin faster then the rear... :)

Yea and put a motor in a truck out of a bus. 10 gears in reverse, 2 for forward. Motor in bus was behind axle

I confirmed yesterday with my 19. It’s consistently applying power to the front. My 18 never did that.

It depends on what driving mode you are in. 4A behaves differently (according to the manual) depending on if you are in normal, sport, or Weather/Slippery. Normal is most reactionary from my experience. Other modes are more preemptive.

Given that Ford altered the drive mode names in 2019, it isn't a stretch to think they refined the tuning somewhat. Slippery mode may not be exactly like Weather mode after all.

In Slippery mode my ‘19 shows all 4 wheels under power in the distribution screen.

It could be the graphic being displayed, but the distribution animation is larger on the back wheels. But I can also imagine more torque is generally applied to the rear until needed.

Will have to put it into straight 4A and note what is taking place.
