My truck keeps throwing PO61A as a DtC. I clear it with Ngauge but comes back each day.

I have 5star installed with Borla exhaust. Running their performance 93 tune.

One thing to note is that my intake has not arrived yet and the tune might be written to include it.

Do I have an issue or is this customary with a programmer and exhaust.

Should go away once you put the intake on.

^^^That is absolutely retarded. Wow.

You'll get the code with the 5 Star tune. I talked to 5 Star about it. It has to do with the increased power to the wheels. I don't remember specifics other than they were not concerned. You'll only see this code when you check for it. It won't throw a check engine light.

If you read into the code, it deals with intake related values as well. If the tune was written for an intake and that's not on the truck yet, I can see where that would be a problem.

Except the guys who write the tune said it's not the intake. Honestly, if you don't know what you're talking about, please be quiet.

I saw on YouTube where someone asked similar question. I posted in the comments sections and he responded. He said the 5star can tweak their tune to avoid that code if you are getting it. He also went into detail that the truck knows if it its pushing higher torque then what's supposed to happen and is their to alert dealer when they check for codes

I need to bump this thread, unless there's another about it. I have a tune (JDM), but I don't think it matters what tune you have. I have this code coming up almost on a daily basis lately. I have spoken to a few, and word is sometimes these trucks throw this code without a tune.
So, this is my question to the peeps on here, who has seen this code, and do you have a tune?

I only have a tune, CAI, and have removed the turbosmart BOV (thank god, the sprinkler's gone now too...) and have the factory BOV venting to atmos.
I understand if I get on it all the time, but I do not. Anyway, before I take off the tune to see if it still does it, I have already disconnected the battery for more than 30 minutes to reset the KAM. If anyone knows a better way to reset, and or take care of this code without removing the tune, would like to hear it.

Jim Jr. , if you happen to read this, please message me for my #, I was the one who emailed last week about this.

I also get this DTC daily now. Never had it on any previous tunes. Latest E50 revision and now it’s here. MPT tuned.
