If you want the ultimate lighting set up, these new SS3 from Diode Dynamics are the ticket. These are available for pre-order and with the current issues with Baja Designs SAE not being in compliance, we will be making a secondary triple fog light kit utilizing these, and it's going to be amazing. Not only that but the output is huge! Over 50% more than the current market leaders. Exact numbers are yet to be released but these have up to a maximum of 151,000 candela!

These will be available in white or amber and spot, flood and SAE driving/combo and fog options which are 100% in SAE compliance.

SAE Driving optic meets SAE J581 as a driving/auxiliary high beam light and our SAE Fog optic meets SAE J583 as a foglamp.*

From your pictures, the SAE fog looks pretty impressive. What’s the ETA?

are the current issues with the Baja Designs SAE? Source?
They are on a stop-sell because they aren't in SAE compliance, so BD is redesigning the lens and reflectors as we speak. No word on exact dates they will be ready to sell again, but I was told two weeks and a week has passed since our conversation.

Hey Jeff, welcome to the club.

So I'd recommend the following setup for you

-SPP Triple Fog Light Kit w/Baja Designs Lights
-Squadron SAE Wide Cornering
-Squadron Pro, Driving/Combo
-Squadron Pro, Spot (or if you want the LONGEST distance, Squadron Racers would do the job, but i tend to like the spots better as they have a bit more coverage, although not as FAR as the racers). Racers are good if you are racing around 60mph+ on back roads.

I'd also grab the LVJ Motorsports Relay Panel here: https://www.lvjmotorsports.com/product-page/gen-2-hi-beam-modified-relay-panel

The reason for the LVJ is that, while you don't need the relay system for power, you'll want it for the ease of tapping into your highs. LVJ lets you pick/choose which wires can turn on with your highs. So you'd wire your lights to the LVJ, then wire the upfitters to the LVJ. You can then change a diode to pick/choose which circuits come on with your highs.

So you could leave the SAE lights on at all times via the switch, then wire in say the driving/combos to activate when your highs are triggered (or even the spots as well). I have customers who trigger their LP9 lights when their high beams come on (for me, my LP9 low mode trigger when my highs are on).

It's a nice setup. Plus our SPP Triple Fog Light Kit lets you pick/choose lights if you are not happy with the setup I recommended. You can really pick/choose what lights to go with. We include stainless steel brackets and an all-in-one raptor specific wiring harness as well.

It's available here: http://www.4x4truckleds.com/2017-ford-raptor-triple-fog-light-kit-w-baja-designs-lights/

For reverse, can't beat the Baja Designs reverse kits. I run the S2 Reverse kit on my truck here: http://www.4x4truckleds.com/baja-designs-ford-raptor-2017-s2-reverse-light-kit/

But we also offer this with the new Baja Designs S1 lights. The S1 lights are smaller then the S2 and offer about 2x the brightness as the S2 Sport: http://www.4x4truckleds.com/baja-designs-ford-raptor-2017-s1-reverse-light-kit/

Now your truck has upfitters, but if you want that 3 hole panel, we stock them here as well: http://www.4x4truckleds.com/center-console-switch-panel-for-2015-ford-f-150/

You'd have to run wires to your upfitters and battery though using that 3-hole setup.

Here is our demo truck showing our SPP Triple Fog Lights and those LP9s I told you about. It might give you some ideas for future lighting as well.

Question.....if I go with the relay, the three light combo in the bumper and the S8 (driving combo) behind the grill, what combination would you recommend in the bumper? I'm thinking SAE (to be on anytime the headlights are on - either low or high beam) and two driving combo's to be on whenever the high beams are on. Then the only time I'd use an aux switch is when I want to turn on the S8's (but have the driving combo's in the bumper also on an aux switch just in case), and hopefully the three light combo inn the bumper wouldn't be too much when my high beams are on - and the S8 in driving combo would provide the spots that I'd give up by having two driving combo's in the bumper instead of one driving combo and one spot. I don't see myself being in a situation where I'd want to run a spot in the bumper but not want to be running the S8 at the same time. Make sense? 95% of the time I'll be on regular roads in regular driving situations. The other 5% I'll be driving backroads where I'd have the chance to utilize the S8's (or going very slowly through the woods when going hunting). My only concern with this is the mud and the bumper lights, but I definitely want some SAE's somewhere to help legally whenever my low beams are on. If the driving combo's become too much when the high beams are on, with the relay could I just remove the diode and have them activated with an aux switch? Or should I go with Racer Spots on an aux switch instead of two driving combo's in the bumper and have the Racer spots to give extra long distance light that the S8 wouldn't provide?

Alternatively I could do the dual Rigid 6" SAE's behind the upper grill and the BD OnX6+ (driving combo) in the lower grill, having the Rigid's on anytime my headlights are on and the OnX6+ on an aux switch. That would eliminate the mud issue in the bumper lights and give me SAE's, but I wouldn't have any additional automatic lights with my high beams - unless you think I could get away with having the ON6x+ come on automatically with the high beams and not cause problems for oncoming drivers.

Any advice GREATLY appreciated!!!

Most folks don't honestly have a real use for anything other then 1 pair of fogs. The rest are just "gravy" or great for off-road, as they can't be used on most public roads.

So my new favorite setup is the following

Squadron SAE
Squadron SAE Amber
Squadron Pro Driving/Combo

I like the choice between 2 styles of SAE based on the weather condition i'm in. I'm not as concerned with SAE/DOT lights as I am with light spill. I run S2 Pros now in Wide Cornering which have some spill so I have them aimed down at the ground so any spill is below my lows. Going to an SAE will give me a cleaner cut-off so I can raise them up a bit which will be nice.

As Neo pointed out Baja is re-tooling the SAEs right now so they'll be tweeked slightly in the next few weeks to improve on their compliance. But they have a much better pattern when used as daily fogs then the Squadron Wide Cornerings, that's for sure.

A lot of guys argue that you don't need 2 sets of the SAE and that they don't throw a lot of light, but i'm from Long Island. Not a lot of back roads here. So for me, having the choice between white or clear SAE depending on the weather is better for me then getting MORE light (hell I have 4x LP9 Pros and 2x XL80s if i REALLY want more light)

Amber are great for foul weather. And I use the driving/combos as my "highs" when I want more light on back-roads or if i'm alone (while technically not "legal" if I have my regular highs on, if i'm by myself i'm fine taking that risk. I doubt a cop will harass me anyway since i only use the driving/combos when im alone on the road anyway).

So with the LVJ it's REALLY neat. The way it works is they give you relays to tap into. You just wire up your lights to the LVJ, and then you wire you upfitters to the LVJ's triggers (he gives you a trigger for each relay). So when you turn your upfitter on, the lights turn on (through the LVJ). So you STILL maintain control manually. The next part is cool, there is a "control" wire that you tap into your high beam circuit with. So when you flip your highs on, it'll turn the relays on the LVJ on. BUT... and this is the cool part, you can PICK which lights you want to turn on. There is a diode/jumper that you remove/install on each circuit which enables or disables high beam function. So you can wire all your lights to the LVJ but have only 1 or 2 of the circuits come on with the high beam. It's really neat and really easy to work with. No need to re-wire anything if you want to change which lights come on with the highs.
