I did a Lund Tune for 93 after the JLT cold air intake went on. Already had a Stainless Works LTs with high flow cats. Big difference in throttle response, noticeable throughout the power band as well. Shift firmness also increased when accelerating under full throttle. Gas mileage went up to 13 from 11.2, and so did the price per gallon :p The tune is loaded into an Nguage which I installed seamlessly into the left vent. In addition to data logging the gauge itself provides a lot of data including AFR, spark, engine temp, lambda, etc. https://www.lundracing.com/ngauge-raptor

With how popular Lund's tune is with the Mustang crowd, I'm surprised they are not as popular with Raptor owners.

Anyone bought a handheld tuner from stage 3 with the preloaded tune? Which one would you recommend that’s safe. There’s the SCT with preloaded stuff. I’ve been wanting to get one, mainly to eliminate the speed limiter. Been running stock tune for a while and it’s been fine so not too worried about getting a crazy tune. Only “performance” mod I even have is a mbrp catback. I don’t have a PC computer either to download stuff. Everything I do internet related is on my iPhone so was looking for something that’s safe and plug and play out of the box.

I’ll take the SCT or BULLY DOG tuner it keeps you STOCK TUNE.
So right now 5star is the winner

I am working my way through this thread as I am only 8 months into ownership with my '12 SCREW.
I have a few questions I have not previously seen addressed or at least answered.

Anyone know if the CarMax warranty is affected by aftermarket tunes? That warranty has already half-way paid for itself (evaporator core), so that is not something I want to mess with.

Like another person asked years back. Will any tuners work with IOS, I have not owned/used a personal PC in years?

Also one of the reasons I was drawn to my Gen 1 was the overall bulletproof, tried and true design of the truck, I have every intention of driving it the way I did my previous truck, 12 years and 175k of my own miles. I have never tuned any of my previous vehicles. Will tuning my truck through a reputable vendor like 5* or Livernois negatively affect my long term reliability.

My goals for tuning would be improving my economy (truck is my daily). Also at other times to let it run like I know it can as well optimize for towing.

Truck is currently completely stock.

Only planned mods are changing the tire size and upgrading the factory exhaust, deleting the resonator.

most people say they have to prove whatever you do is what caused the problem. I use e-30 never had a problem. this is the fist tune for me also and I wanted it tuned for that purpose. but also taking the limiter off.

So I did a bit of reading through this thread and looking at others, made my choice to go with 5 star, only to have them tell me after that they don't tune CA trucks.....

Now that i'm all excited to get a tuner for this thing, does anyone offer tunes for CA trucks, or do I just have to lie :flamingdevil:?

Im in the same boat. Looking for a tuner for my ‘13 and in CA. I have an SCT X3 I was thinking of trying to find a tune but would rather purchase a tuner completely ready to install.

I am in the process of ordering my American Racing Headers, with no cats, and Hennesey Intake. At this point im stuck as to what programmer to get. I see a lot of discussion about the Five Star, and Hennesey but a not a comparison thus far. I wanted to see which you guys feel is the better tune that appears to have good R&D behind it. I have a 2011 SCrew with 6.2L

Which did you end up getting?
