Pedal commander a good purchase or not?

The PC does not leave any trace, so you are less likely do have a warranty claim denied. With all of that said, I would spend a little more money and get the MPT 93 PRX tune. It will really wake your truck up and does not require any mechanical knowledge on your part to install or operate.

To clarify...Any aftermarket tune will void your powertrain warranty; the manufacturer is not responsible for engine/trans/driveline issues once the factory calibrations have been overwritten. As for concerns like the power window example you provided, you are correct. The warranty on unrelated systems is not affected.

So stuff like Pedal Commander or using Forscan software will not void warranty?

Thanks for the clarification on the powertrain warranty. As you noted, my comment was based on posts that claim the entire truck's warranty is voided when you add a tune.

I talked to my dealer about tunes and they told me they see them even if removed and will take a very hard nosed approach to warranty work. What else would they say. But I do not want to take the chance. I have a SCT X4 I used on a 2011 F150. I guess I will sell it and buy a pedal commander. I cannot stand the lag in the throttle! If anyone wants to trade let me know.

Forscan is written into the module; it can be detected. Pedal commander requires disassembly of connectors, which typically leaves some form of evidence of tampering, especially when the harness retainers are disconnected to access the connector.

Interesting. Are you eluding that the Pedal Commander could potentially void the manufacturers warranty? If so, what areas does the Pedal Commander modify? Throttle position sensor?

So restoring original bits inside module still can be detected? Pedal commanders I think is just plug and play
