Center jack point

How is everyone getting the front end on jack stands, since the skid plate covers the front cross member? Jack up one side at a time via frame rail? Seems a little sketchy given the amount of suspension travel? Remove the front skid plate? What's your preferred method?

I jack on frame rails and put jack stand under frame next to jack

I use a 2"x6" piece of wood about a foot and half long, just enough so it's on the two bolts holding the rear of the skid plate
(this will help with any slipping) and jack the whole front up with the skid plate on, never had an issue.
Just make sure your jack can slide while jacking and place the jacks on frame rails.

I got a 20 ton air over hydraulic bottle jack specifically for the raptor. Turns out its good for lots of stuff in the shop but it makes the raptor particularly easy to deal with. I can just lift it one side at a time but it requires little effort and is quick.

I have 3 floor jacks.

If I'm just doing the front I'll put one under each front control arm and jack it up. Someone near where the lower shock mount is. There's a nice flat spot there. That eliminates the suspension travel and the need for a jack that goes 3 feet in the air.

If I'm getting all four up, I'll put my third jack under the rear diff and jack it up.

I have flat rubber jack pads so I don't have to worry about catching the diff cover or tearing up the finish on the control arms.

Could still do it with one jack, it'd just take longer to do.

I cheat I just lift it on the 2 post hoist

lca is easiest if you need to remove one front tire at a time. Just remember to put a jack stand on frame rail just in case.
