What plans do you have for the heads/cams?
Any thoughts on intake manifold?

There was the Fox body build that switched over to a carb setup, that combined with the intake manifold seemed to be the big factor in it making big NA power. I'd be interested to see what these are capable of while still retaining our efi


Yea this build is using a whipple so stock cams will be fine. I’ll be doing a lot work with the valve seats and doing some minor hand porting.

Doing an N/A build would really benefit from a better cam design but it’s going to cost you. I’d have a higher compression piston as well. Would be many one offs made to really knock the power levels up.

Ahh, I thought you were staying NA, been trying to find someone who has done/planning high comp NA build, cams would definitely be needed but I think they can make good power still.

Supercharged is obviously the proven/highest power, but it's a bit overkill for me, and gives 1 more thing to break out in the desert

Ahh, I thought you were staying NA, been trying to find someone who has done/planning high comp NA build, cams would definitely be needed but I think they can make good power still.

Supercharged is obviously the proven/highest power, but it's a bit overkill for me, and gives 1 more thing to break out in the desert

cylinder heads are crucial on all motor power, making more port volume becomes a thing. With extra work in that area and a couple well designed parts, these engines would make plenty of Power, especially if you ran an alternate fuel from pump gas.

Yeah that's what I've been hoping to see, na setup with ported heads/cams and higher compression. It seems the heads flow really well after porting, but then there is finding a cam with enough lift/duration, turns into custom parts quickly!

I would be interested to see what the 11:1 pistons do in na form, any plans to do testing without the whipple?

the possibility is there for me to do the engine break in on my engine dyno, so there’s a chance it would be broken in with a regular intake and throttle body on it. However it’s all up in the air at the moment.
11:1 would be an increase over stock CR but I’d go up closer to 13:1 if it was meant to stay N/A. Like I said before, changing fuels to c10 or c16 would give you even more opportunity for even higher CR. These options are all up to the customer at that point.

Gotcha, I'll keep an eye out for updates, regardless I'm interested to see what the 11:1 does with the whipple!

Are you going up in injector size with the increase in compression? I was informed that adding anymore boost (my application) would need that, so will squeezing it harder with more compression do the same?
