Apparently one of my friends grabbed a pic as I was passing through town.

The dealer called today and said that they honestly have no idea yet what the problem is and they are still trying to trace it down. I was ensured it would be parked inside and updated as they make progress.

I still can’t stress how happy I am that this happened near family and near a car wash bay where I could seek shelter. I couldn’t imagine how defeated I would have been if it were a long country drive in a rain storm soaking the interior or sub zero temps. I keep my vehicles spotless. My 4 year old mustang with 8800 miles still smelled like a new car when I gave it up for the Raptor.

I’m beginning to think they swapped to more water susceptible connectors for the 2019 and when water gets in, it screws up the entire car. I know of at least two others (besides myself) with issues after going through a car wash. I think it’s hard to troubleshoot because it could be ANY connector.

and it sounds like if any connector gets wet, the entire can bus system is interrupted. You can see my post on this as well is others.

Any issues since you got your rig back?

No, although it was only a 15 minute drive back home where it has sat in the garage.

I service standby generators and have a company van. The Raptor May only see 4000 miles a year.
