Lol probably have more problems buying a new one vs a gen 1. Yeah gen 2 will be covered by warranty but I’m sure he wants to drive it, not have it sitting at some dealership like a lot of gen 2s.

Your basically buying somebody elses problem so they can get a new Raptor. Ford now offers 0% for the 2019's and trust me a year ago they wouldn't even consider that offer to a 6 X buyer with excellent credit.
You can get the basic Raptor 800 (which is what I have and they start at about 54000 and that package comes with the new type shocks. You won't get leather seats or the top line stereo or sunroof but its still a Raptor and you'll have a warranty.
Go haggle with dealers who don't work on commission. There's plenty of them here in the southeast I'm sure there are some in your geographic area.

Love my 10 but i would say get the 13-14 you’ll like the differences. Headlights are way nicer on the 13-14 as well. Also ford reinforced the rear of the frame in 2012 I believe.

I've seen a few people mention the reinforced frame. I haven't owned a truck so I am not exactly sure what this means or how much benefit.

Thank you everyone for your valuable input. I didn't realize there '12 model had some of upgrades already.

Blockaderunner actually brought up a point my cousin, who used to work at a Ford dealership, mentioned as well. To go for a Gen 2, but like others said, I am not trying to double my budget. Although, I'm seeing some interesting deals on the Roush F-150, like 0APR and discounts....but that probably needs its own thread for discussion (if it hasn't been already)

'11 is best year, strongest year. Hand made with care and precision at the same level as a Ferrari master craftsman.

Lol you basically want the poor guy to double his budget.

I would look for the lowest mile, best condition 13-14 but I would also consider a 12 due to upgrades that model year. I would avoid 10-11.

Just curious - as im looking at a few 11's seriously . Major revisions in 2012 frame etc. ? sounding like im better off finding a 2012 and waiting .

I own a 13 and the sync 2, torsen diff, HID lights are worth it IMO.

besides with the 6.2.. you can find a wrecked f250 with the same engine, break it down and build a fresh engine for cheap.

Ok on above options, I see. Budget i'm on the 11's fall into with under 90k mi etc. I'm ok with the tech being a little behind & headlights being revised , but if the frame etc major revisions are worth it I may try to find a 12 instead.
