I greased up the slip yoke, and today I noticed fluid leaking out of the output shaft and being sling around the underside of the truck.

Is there some thing I missed? Or did that seal just give way coincidently?

I noticed some fluid drip out when I pulled the driveshaft also, not sure if that’s related.

You're only supposed to brush a film on the inside of the yoke.
Anything more will mix with the transfer case fluid. Not good!

As the chain rotates around in the transfer case it's suppose to lube the output shaft, suppose to!
Unfortunately it doesn't work very well so when the yoke gets old and the nickel plating wears off,
then it's time for a new yoke or start greasing.

Put a new output shaft seal on her, seems to be fixed. Also changed the transfer case fluid out. Easy day.
