Determing to buy a Gen 1 or Gen 2, interesting observation so far

One other important item nobody mentioned is the paint on Gen1s. Paint on those vehicles are now anywhere from 6-10 years old. Lets face it, Raptors are beautiful trucks and newer paint sure makes them stand out.

2019 Raptor since last Feb. Daily driver with 8K miles on it. Love it 99% of the time. Rides more like a luxury car than a truck on the highway. It takes a big pothole to even feel with the suspension on it. Feels stuck to the road like a sports car compared to my old 2011 F150 FX4

The adaptive cruise control is a must have. I'll never buy another truck without it.

Remote start is a must have if you are not parking in a garage. So nice to come out to a nice warm truck in the morning.

For a pickup, it's amazing quick. Accelerates like a sports car.

No problems at all with it. No trips to the shop except for one oil change.

Only think I don't like sometimes are the Recarro seats. They are growing on me but they still feel "hard" compared to regular F150 seats.

I’m a Gen 1 owner. 2012 with 145k. I had to make the decision to either sell it and buy a Gen 2 or keep it and put some money in to it. I chose the latter. To me, and this is all opinion, the Gen 1 is exactly that a Gen 1. The first of its kind. To me that’s kinda cool. And there are far fewer of them on the road. They are both awesome trucks so there’s no wrong decision.

Bought a Gen 1 that's what I could afford and much better than not having a Raptor.

Gen 1 for me. It’s what I could afford and....I’m an old school gearhead. The v8 sound is part of the experience for me. I don’t really care if a it’s a 600 hp v6 or a 1200 ho v10 or v12. The V8 is in class all its own, the sound of Americana from days gone by. Yes, I appreciate and respect the ecoboost. It’s quite a technological marvel, and yes it gets much better mileage. But the v8 sound is in my blood.
Whichever you choose, make sure it’s your choice and not the result some ignorant know-it-all’s undue misinformation. Enjoy the hunt for your Raptor!!
