If you don't live in Arizona, or places it can get 115 degrees then front window tint is pointless and dangerous.......I have it on my R8 but thats only because it came with it and is the dumbest thing ever. Does it give a better look yes, but function wise at night time it's down right dangerous......

Sorry for you, but absolutely not true for me. Can barely tell it’s there and there’s no discernible difference at all at night. I have it on two vehicles. Having said that, I also DON’T have dark tinting on the windshield, I agree that would not be wise.

Get the sunroof done ... just not too dark or it will defeat the purpose.

I've had my windshield done three times by 2 installers and still showing up with bubbles and stretch marks, maybe I'm too picky but anything that hits my eye-line is a non-starter.

Anyone have a "perfect" windshield tint job?

Both my vehicles have “perfect” film installs. Meaning, you wouldn’t know it’s there unless I told you.

Yes, and have no distortion, banding etc. wear Oaks. I’ll check with my guy to see what he put on, he does high quality work.

I have 70% ceramic plus on my windshields now. Used to do 35% carbon... then moved up to 45-50%. The 70% ceramic plus rejects more heat than 5% carbon film, which I have on the rest of my windows. I also do my sunroofs in the 70% ceramic plus.

I had the front side windows of my truck tinted. Perfect job and sure it looks good, but the real reason is that my father suffered from skin cancer before he died. Now at 64, the left side of my face is showing visibally more sun damage than the right side and I have to believe it's due to the thousands of hours I've spent driving.

Pi50 on my front windshield. Always a must on my vehicles lol. Looks so much better, heat rejection is nice. Isn’t a bother to me at night.. if anything just roll down the front windows lol
