Raptor had growing pains and given the shady history of Chrysler/Dodge/Fiat/Ram I'd expect many issues... at least at first. I wouldn't touch it for several years after release regardless of the HP/TQ numbers it puts up.

I bet its black on black with black wheels like every RAM in the metro Detroit area. Holy Shit!! I saw 3 at the same light one time, they must issue these trucks somewhere... One tried to race me and I thought what a fitting picture. If I wanted to run qtr miles I wouldve bought a GT500. But I digress.

Agreed the ZF 8 Speed is a great transmission. Holds a good amount of power too. The gear ratios in it are very good. I have seen some RAM owners putting pretty big power thru them while running them on the track with drag radials launching it hard and the trans stays together. FCA actually built a very good transmission for once.

I hope the TRX is awesome. Competition is good for the consumer.

It will have a pos Chrysler transmission...lol.

I had a 1200+HP Hellcat Charger (1000+ to the wheels) that had the ZF tranny that comes equipped on all 6.2L Supercharged FCA vehicles... that thing holds some power & shifts amazingly crisp & fast. I think the Trackhawk has a bulked up version of the Hellcat’s tranny, but I could be mistaken. The TRX will be no joke performance wise, but I can’t speak on its off-road capabilities. The Raptor won’t win a drag race against it... but maybe the TRX will be a one trick pony like the Demon was & not be as off-road capable (just a very fast Ram Rebel with some bigger tires, fenders, & lift perhaps).

FCA over-engineered the 6.2L Supercharged & coupled it with a stout ZF tranny, which is shared in other high $$$ high hp cars like Bentley, Rolls Royce, Audi, & Aston Martin.

my opinion is they will take a RAM rebel throw a set of fox shocks on it with a hell cat engine and call it a TRX. Maybe a few wider bolt on fenders, but it still wont have the R&D that Ford put into the raptor. It will be half assed like everything else.
