I just got off the phone with MPT. Was told NOT to change the downpipes, as it won’t really make a difference aside from sound, and that it WILL more than likely cause a code to be thrown.....

Opinions???

leave the stockers unless you go with spd.

Ive tried ( and destroyed) most others. the SPD pipes hold up to baja. The others failed miserably.

SPD is also working on a new high clearance version that will tuck under foutz skids without any interference ( with some neat tricks to make it happen) . I've been providing them feedback and measurements to make it happen and have been wear-testing their current offering.

+1 for leaving the stockers.

Our cats actually flow pretty damn good. You should only consider aftermarket cats or no cats if bumping up to bigger turbos.

Please don't quote on this but I have received the same information form MPT and to be honest I was not convinced, but all the trucks with a Dp and a tunes seems to pull better than the ones with only tune going uphill a sand dune even on road I witnessed 2 trucks racing one of them was running an AFE intake + MPT tune and SPD Dp and adapters and the other one was stock with a tune only and the truck with the bolt ones seems to pull a 2 cars ahead.

@Rednose - I totally co-sign that. Makes complete sense to me also. I’m just wondering if the DP’s will cause a code and lingering check-engine light....??
