What did you do to your Raptor today? (Gen2)

I was still having slight rubbing issues with my 37 KO2 at certain steering and compression angles even after trimming my fender liner. I crawled under my truck last night to see where it was rubbing prepared to cut some more. I noticed how far away from the body the fender liner is (about 3/4 of an inch) and realized that if the liner was tight it wouldn’t come close to rubbing. As I was trying to figure out a way to stick the liner closer to the body I saw a small opening in the body welds (sorry didn’t take pics but if you look you can see what I am talking about) I ended up drilling a a hole in the liner and used a plastic fastener like the ones used to hold the liner in that I had lying around and popped it in the hole. This pulled the liner back to the body and gives much more clearance. I did trim a small piece at the very bottom of the liner to let it to go back flush. I wish I had thought of this before and I wouldn’t have needed to trim the liner except that small bottom corner. Looks like a OEM fastener that was there and no more rubbing

He’s very good...and expensive. I had a lot of work done, and I selected the “best of the best” for the tint, PPF, and coating. Here’s what he did:

Color correction

Full custom cut wrap (except roof and tailgate) with Prestige ClearGuard Nano PPF, all panel edges wrapped.

Window tint all around, including windshield, moonroof, and rears, with Prestige Spectra PhotoSync IRD (70% windshield, 30% front doors and moonroof, 55% rear windows).

Ceramic coat with Modesta BC-04 Nano-Titanium Glass (IR lamp cured).

PM me if you want the pricing, but as I said, you go to him for quality, not the cheapest price.

Why would you do PPF AND ceramic coating??

Because I’m a little bit nuts when it comes to my cars. But actually, it’s not uncommon for people to do this on nice cars. Not sure how many do it on Raptors, but....

Anyway, PPF is the best protection you can get from scratches, rock chips, etc. Ceramic does very little to nothing in terms of scratch/chip protection.

However, PPF provides no UV protection (for good reason). So if you want that, and easy cleaning/permanent wax, you need to put ceramic on top of it. The ceramic also gives it a glossy, deep shine.

Damn lol, I don’t even think I’d bother doing that to a Ferrari let alone a raptor haha- I guess makes sense tho, & if it makes ya happy & gives peace of mind it’s your money - but I’m guessing that treatment ain’t too far off the price of a mid-level full paint job!

W/ all that protection on the paint what did you do for undercarriage?
