Nitto Trail Grapplers for Street?

I'm considering new tires to mount on new wheels for my 2019 truck. 99% of my driving is on the street and I do ~16k miles a year. I live in Maryland with cold winters and snow (but can never predict how much year to year).

I was having the oil changed in another car and was next to a new F250 with Trail Grapplers, what I noticed was that even though the tires were perhaps half worn, the wear pattern was absolutely perfect, they looked like new tires with half the tread.

Although they look great, I'm guessing they are too aggressive for my needs and I would be better served with Ridge Grapplers if I chose Nitto, correct?

I ran them on my 2011 and 2014 FX4s. I loved them, they were really good in snow. I ran them
for 7 Maine winters. The were heavy as are Ridge Grapplers and most E-rated tires. I don't have any experience with Ridge Grapplers but I almost went with them on my 2017, but I decided to go with something lighter. I do have experience with Terra Grapplers and they sucked in snow.

Thanks, last year we had almost no snow, other years we can get significant snowfall.

How about noise, ride, etc. on the road compared to the stock KO2s?

They are pretty quiet for a mud terrain. I rotated my first set regularly and they remained relatively quiet for the 30K miles I put on them and they were about half tread. I got lazy with my second set and when they started cupping and wearing uneven they got pretty loud.
No E-rated tire will ride as soft as the stock C-rated KO2's but if you run E-rated tire around 38-40 lbs they'll ride better but not as good as a C-rated. KO2's are one of the quitest A/Ts I've ever run (until they start cupping or wearing funny) so any M/T is going to be a bit louder.

Go with the Nitto ridge grapplers or the Toyo RT. Great tires, significantly quieter than the trail grapplers. Ive ran them exclusively on the last four of my vehicles.

I bought my truck with the Nitto Ridge Grapplers on it and didn't like them. They didn't channel water worth a shit in the heavy NW rain. I went back to my tried and true Wrangler Duratracs and couldn't be happier. They work very well in the snow, ice and rain, usually receiving higher ranking in those areas than the Nittos on reviews too.

I’ve been on nitro tara grappler G2’s for 3 years. Like them.
Mostly street driven.

Over the years I went through four sets of Nitto Trail Grapplers on my '07 Titan. Loved them so much I kept buying them. Drove through a lot of really muddy swamps and NEVER got stuck. They are a little noisy but quiet for a mud tire; and you will probably notice more vibration too. They are also quite heavy but handle punctures well.

I'm a city dweller so my daily driving is in heavy traffic but often on the weekends I spend my time out in the forests away from here. Even as a city commuter I never regretted the Trail Grapplers.

I agree
Ridge Grapplers are a great tire.
Don’t have them on my Raptor but have run 3 sets worth on my 2008 F250.
They are quiet on the pavement
Wear evenly
Do not crawl or drift
Each set I got over 50,000 miles and still have useable tread left.
I think they may be too heavy for the Raptor but I will stay with them on the F250.

Ugh I'm hating my KO2s with 15k miles on them, the traction sucks (at least on road) and they are getting noisy. Torn between the Ridge Grapplers, Terra Grapplers or the Cooper ST Maxx... I do hate that the Nittos are 70lbs - KO2s are 64? and the ST Maxx are 66.
