Scraped my right front fender molding yesterday. Very irritating.

Anyone have the color name or color code of the stock Ford grey metallic on it?

And/or do new replacements from Ford come that color or do they have to be painted?

The color itself is Sterling Grey Metallic. Code UJ

the problem is that there are like 50 different shades of this color depending on the application (I’ve tried to buy touch up paint before, and if you ever park next to another raptor, and they’re different paint colors, the bumpers and fenders on that truck won’t match yours)

almost best just to leave it, or have it color matched at a body shop.

Thanks for the info. From your info, the bumper and fender moldings are the same color?

If new replacements are already that color, I'd just get a new one. But they may come black and have to be painted. I could do that, but there is the risk it wouldn't match the rear one on the same side of the truck.

I took a ferry to Canada and the idiot kids placing the card underestimated the width of my truck...even though I made a point of it to them...anyway...wound up with ferry rash on left rear. The replacement comes already painted in the stock accent color. no painting required. Speny though...here's the link to the part I used and I can verify that no painting is required. https://parts.autonationfordwhitebe...rd-wheel-opening-molding-hl3z9929165aa?c=bT0x

This is for the left rear BTW...

Thanks a ton. That's what I wanted to see about it already being painted.

the fenders and the bumpers should match almost perfectly on a new truck, but the plastic fades different than the bumpers do too, so it’s gonna be hard to get a good match without replacing all the flares at once or having the new one color matched....

I have however seen press photos of 2010’s where the bumpers are actually slightly darker than the flares, so I’m not sure even Ford has a good answer on these things.

He linked you to Gen 2 parts. Don't think that's going to fit your truck ;)

I'd take the opportunity to paint them body color if it was my truck.

I just ordered and got a new front fender flare from my ford dealer that matches perfectly with the existing ones, cost about $ 375.00. you could spend a lot more at a body shop trying to match it. Scott

Yes, I need the front right anyway, so that link wouldn't apply no mater what.
