I know that most of you run Baja Designs lights and I absolutely have nothing against BD at all. When I originally started modding my truck, I went with the triple Rigid Radiance cubes in the fog pockets because I liked they way they look. I didn't do as much research as I probably should have or I probably would have went with BD. All-in-all, I like the look of the Rigid Radiance cubes and they are bright enough for the small amount of offroad I have done so far. I am gearing up for the 2020 SnoBall and was looking at grabbing a set of A-Pillar lights. The Rigid 360-series caught my eye again due to the back lighting and I believe they would go along with the radiance cubes well. The 6" drive style are 8670 lumens which is fairly close to the BD XL80 at 9500. What are everyone's thoughts on running the 360-series 6" lights on the A-Pillar? Does a 6" light produce too much wind noise? Anything else I need to take into consideration when looking at A-Pillar lights? Thanks in advance.

You should not have an issue with wind noise at all. They are down low on the Pillars so wind noise isn't really an issue. You get wind noise with roof mounted light bars though.

As for Rigid or Baja. That's up to you. Now, I'm a big Baja fan. We're one of the largest stocking Baja dealers around so we really love our Baja Designs lights. That's not to say Rigid makes a crappy product. By no means is that true. They make a fine product as well and their new 360 lights should be pretty cool. I'm not a fan of the whole back lighting thing to be honest. I always thought it was more of a gimic to get folks to buy lights... and as you learned, it worked like a charm :) Pretty back light but not a lot of light. With that said, the new 360 doesn't give you a back light with pour light output. It actually gives you some decent light output. So that's a benefit. And the new Radiance Scene lights give you decent output (it was always a complaint from Radiance owners... they loved the back light, hated the output, thus the scenes came out to solve that issue).

So should you do Baja or Rigid... well my money is on Baja... because it's a ROCK SOLID light and you can change the lenses later if you want. I don't think you need a large light up there though like an LP6 or LP9. The 360 is a big larger for my money because of that round shape. I run XL80's on my own demo truck and even that size bugs me a little. See I like things nice and sleek. BUT they sure work great.

I ended up doing spot lenses on my XL80s (not sold that way but you can throw the lenses on without an issue). I have no issues with glare either (blue truck) and they work amazing. In fact... the XL80s put out so much light when I put my 4x LP9 Pros on, you can still see the XL80 down range (nice spot pattern is why, i use driving/combo LP9s)

Whichever road you end up taking I can hook you up with some nice pricing. Just shoot me a message.

To be honest... as much as I love Baja i'd say get the 360 so that they match the rest of your truck. Tie them into the same control wire as your fogs so all the back lights come on together.

The Rigid Radiance lights and their newest offering the 360 series are great lights. For those that like the amber backlighting, Rigid is the way to go. While Baja Designs makes a great light, they do not currently offer a backlit pod style light (only the S8 light bars). If you're looking for great light output and the backlighting effect to match the rest of your lights then definitely stick with Rigid.

We've got plenty of these on order for stocking inventory as we've received a ton of interest in them already. Rigid told us they should be shipping in the new few weeks so plenty of time to get them before the Snoball run.

We also have plenty of A-pillar mounts in stock from Rigid, Alternative Offroad and SDHQ.

Buy them from either of the vendors above. Either SDHQ mounts or Alternative Offroad (these install easier than SDHQ, but sit a tad higher).

SDHQ Brackets: http://www.4x4truckleds.com/sdhq-2017-ford-raptor-a-pillar-light-mounts/

Alternative Offroad Brackets: http://www.4x4truckleds.com/alternative-offroad-2015-ford-f-150-a-pillar-light-mount/

We have both brackets in stock at our warehouse.

SDHQ will sit lower but don't allow for a larger light (your hood may hit the light as you open it). The lower profile is nice though.
Alternative Offroad mount to the hood itself, so they sit a bit higher. But as you open the hood the light goes with it. So you avoid hitting your lights and you can run a large light.

Unless you are really set on the backlighting, the Rigid D-XL-PRO has 9500 Lumens and are really bright. And they are built well. I would put the Rigids against anything as far as durability. We run them on our Class 1 car and they have been bulletproof.

I'm also a BD f/boy...BUT have nothing bad to say about Rigids...I will say this, the "A" pillar light is a great way to go when running lots of lumens...I had a set of XL80's in the driving combo and they really thru an ass load of light downrange....and no wind noise...Sounds like those Rigids would work awesome on the pillars also....
