AMS Turbo Inlet Tubes

AMS Boost Tubes! We've been hard at work testing these. Our first test was performed on Tyson's red 2018 Raptor with S&B intake, FMIC, exhaust and Cobb Accessport. Initial tests yielded 20TQ and no change in horsepower. Power did kick in about 1,000 RPM's sooner which is where most of us spend the majority of the time anyways. And as noted above, a bit of power was lost at the very peak of the RPM band. With another dyno test, we got a few more HP and still right around 19/20TQ.

Since this initial test, we've removed the Accessport from Tyson's truck and installed our ORA550 tune by Gearhead. We're working to refine the ORA550 tune to hopefully match the horsepower gains with the torque gains, but still maintain safe levels for the truck.

Went to swap my cold air intake for a different one... The plastic is way too thin and flexible

Did you contact AMS. Surprised AMS parts are 100% on point.

yes getting a warranty replacement. had this installed less then a month ago. just beyond surprised when i took off my afe super raptor intake, and saw this.

I have the same AFE/AMS combo. You have me nervous, double checking everytime I pop the hood. Lol. Update us if your replacement is any “thicker”. Hoping yours was a fluke.
Also what cold side tube do you have? Replace the hot side tubes? No conflicts with routing and the AMS? Next upgrade is IC and tubes, afraid of real estate conflicts between brands.

I have a mountune intercooler with their supplied charge pipe.
i replaced my super raptor with a s&b intake. not sure why i did that.
i am hoping for thicker, but if you felt this specific tube, it is really soft feeling. i tried to push it back in place, but i think due to the heat, its stuck in this position. the other turbo inlet tube felt much sturdier.

received updated turbo inlet tube. significantly thicker and heavier at the area where mine bent.

Didn't get to install this today. Spent way too many hours installing my rogue enfotxer front bumper. With 0 instructions.

For those of you with the AMS tubes installed who had an intake beforehand - have you noticed increased sound level overall? Engine sound, turbo whistle, etc.?
