The shocks are the Fox 3.0 upgrades for gen 1; just take the truck to a REAL suspension shop that you trust and have them look at the front end parts and diagnose. Put a video up of the noise and we might be able to help.

Hey all, I just picked up my Raptor a few weeks ago and its develpoed some suspension noise (thumping in the front and clanking in the rear). I took it to Ford to look it over and they said it had a modified suspension that they cannot touch. My next stop would be a suspension place but before I do, I want to ask here.

I've tried to find out what I have but figured the collective here might be able to identify it faster. From what I can tell it's still the Fox 2.0 but even the dealer was impressed with what's under my truck.

Any help will greatly be appreciated.

Great set up, dont let the Ford dealer touch it...lol
Front 3.0, rear External By-Pass 3.0, Bumps and stock leaf pack by the looks of it

The clunk up front is common and you can chase your tail. Bushings, steering rack and possibly half shaft play.
I am on 3.0 with adjusters on the remote resivoirs up front. If you have them, try turning the small gold (low speed) all the way out counter clockwise and then in 1 click. Do the same with the bigger blue dial all the way out then in 4 clicks... Give it a try
The Clank out back is likely the splined output shaft slip yoke. Lots of info on here about the Front Clunk and the Rear Clank

You might be hearing the shim stack clacking. That is what 3.0 shocks do, nothing wrong with that noise.

Unfortunately I do not have the dials. I'm guessing it's a 1st gen 3.0 (??) before they went to the dials

I believe you can have them added during a rebuild. Don’t get rid of those shocks

Good to know. I am looking at a few places to rebuild them, just trying to limit my truck downtime. I have to ask about the adding the dials. Thanks!

You might be able to find a used set of oem to swap to while those 3.0 are getting rebuilt.
