New Raptor Owner

Hi Ladies and Gentlemen,

I’m enjoying a nice Bourbon neat tonight (W.L. Weller) in honor of my new family member which happens to be a 2019 Magnetic Raptor. I traded in my 2016 F-150 Platinum and while I loved and will miss that truck - the Raptor, without a doubt, is such a joy to drive and own.

I have never joined a forum like this before, but I felt I owed it to future owners to join and hopefully provide/contribute insight as so many of you helped me on my 12 month due diligence journey. I want to thank everyone for taking the time to post thoughts (good and bad) which really helped me as a perspective owner.

I must say I started off loving Magnetic and not liking the race colors but that switched as time wore on. I ran through all of the colors and started loving them all - it was to the point where I was being indecisive (which never happens) and I came to realize, you really can’t go wrong with any color - it’s a Raptor and they all look beautiful!

Anyway, I’ll end this post with a huge thank you to everyone that has given insight about these machines via this forum. It is because of you that I ultimately was able to gain enough knowledge to finally pull the trigger. Additionally, to prove that I have followed this forum long enough, here are pictures so I don’t get labeled as a Prius owner : )

well... all except leadfoot, which is coincidentally, the slowest color choice.

now... let the mods begin.

I don’t usually give free advertising (I make a point to say no stickers on my tailgate etc) but they always treat me well there. I can’t say the same for the Chantilly location.

As far as bourbon goes, I’m happy to talk bourbon all day long - my collection is getting out of control.

I’m looking forward to making modifications, which I feel truly highlight the truck and the owners personalities alike.

out of control... I’ve got at least 50 different bourbons. It started humbly enough with some single barrel Evan Williams and Elijah Craig 12 y.o. now it’s enough I had to store some in remote locations. Got any from A Smith Bowman? the non-Virginians don’t get as much of a chance at them.

yeah, TB has some pretty good mechanics.

Beautiful Raptor!! Congrats and welcome! My favorite color was also Magnetic. Although like you said, you can't go wrong with other colors. I ended up with a black Raptor and really love it now and glad I made that choice. More so that I got new wheels to match.

Thanks Gerald! Black was one of my choices as well - heck, all colors were at some point. You really can’t go wrong and I want to stress that to perspective owners running into the problem of “what color should I pick”. Get what you like and enjoy the “S” out of it!
