Seems to me that you will be getting another vehicle a couple years after the Raptor as well. It’s common... some people have to have something new or different every couple years.

1. Sell your current vehicles privately. If you trade them both in to a dealer, you’re looking at a $10k difference...

2. If you have to have something new every couple years... look into leasing.

3. I think... a ZO6 and a solid truck is a better combo than a single truck (Raptor included).

4. As someone said earlier... the Raptor is not fast. A regular 3.5EB F-150 is faster. If you’re a sports car guy (ZO6), you’re going to miss that performance.

That was REAL FAST! Took the Vette in... they appraised it, made me an offer, we negotiated a bit, got it where I was comfortable. They took the vin of the truck looked at pictures made me a very fair offer. Then we looked at Raptors. Had one loaded to the hilt that was a demo for 3k miles. Bed liner, full floor mats, the sunroof deal (don't need it), the carbon fiber inside (don't need it), the full camera and technology package and all that. We worked on the price... because it was a demo they were able to come down more. Plugged in the numbers and BAM! It worked out.

Sales guy and I took the raptor back to my house, dismantled my truck i.e., tool box, interior stuff, hard-wired V1, power-amp, sub... gave him the second set of keys and he left! Blip! GONE!

It was and still is kinda strange... I woke up with a Vette and my truck in the garage, came home at 5pm in a Raptor with an empty garage! Yikes! LOL!

I took it downtown to see my brother...we tore up the back streets of the neighborhood. HOLY SHIT that truck is BAD ASS! Wow!!!!! I don't think I can even describe it... it's just in a WHOLE OTHER class of vehicles. It's just an all out FUN MACHINE! I've NEVER had a vehicle this cool! Wow!

So far, I am crazy happy!

Yep, there was no point in waiting. These days there’s shitloads of raptors on lots. Pretty easy to find one to make a deal on.

If you think ripping a few back streets was fun, wait until you figure out the whole “off road mode” thing!

Thanks GR8! I can't get over this truck! It is simply AWESOME! It's exactly what I wanted and it was worth EVERY SINGLE platinum lined penny it cost! I can also see WHY they are expensive.

I would define it as more of a "machine"...it is build to do what it is built to do and it does it EXTREMELY well.

Now, if I wanted to haul horses around, or move yards of gravel around the ranch, or tow a mobile home, this is not the truck for me... it is not designed for that.

I just can't say enough and I've had it less than 24hrs! I've already removed all the cheesy dealership logos and license plate frames! :)

I also ordered the cold air induction that will be here and installed in two weeks!

Ok, time to go out and check it out!

Thank you ALL for your great words of advice and insight again. I'm also a pro photographer, so some cool pictures will be coming soon!

VERY happily EVER RAPTOR!
